Nebulous is an odd game and is unlike most of the real-time games that you might be used to playing. It features a solar system with planets and moons. You are a small ball that is floating around and trying not to bump into the other planets. You goal is to absorb the smaller balls that are around you. These balls are other players who are online. If you absorb the player, then you will get bigger, which means that you can start absorbing some of the planets as well as long as they are smaller than you.

With Nebulous, if another player gets next to you and is larger, then you can be absorbed, which would mean your turn is over. You will start the level as a small ball once again, getting back to the size that you were or larger in order to complete the level. There are different types of balls to choose from depending on where you're located while playing. Some of them have a flag representing the country, such as Japan or China.
